Guide Review - The New Oxford American Dictionary
When "The New Oxford American Dictionary" (NOAD) landed on my desk, I was impressed. Users no longer have to "browse through archaic or niche uses of a word simply because they predate the most common." NOAD defines words with an ear to the 'American Voice' and includes hundreds of new words that have come into the language. Furthermore, the layout is innovative and in addition to usage examples and etymologies, it also contains encyclopedic information for many words. Highly recommended for home, school, office, and library.
