This week, my good friend shares one of his entertaining cryptics exclusively with us. Can you solve the bonus clue?
CRYPTIC CROSSWORD PUZZLE #2
Please note that in this particular puzzle, the enumerations do not reflect multi-word entries. In other words, answers that are phrases, such as 11 Across, are enumerated as (8), the total number of letters, and are not broken down into individual words (e.g. #,#,#). This makes the task of the solver more difficult but I think it is justified with the added benefit of the bonus clue.

Bonus Clue:
Take stand alone squares at outer limits of grid and center square for title of famous work of fiction and author.
