Using the clues, enter one of the word fragments (from the syllabary below) in each of the 32 boxes to form 8 four-syllable words. Each word fragment is used only once. When complete the letters in the two diagonal flights of stairs (shaded cells) will spell out a topical subject. I've entered one fragment to start you off.
